Synopsis:
Using the same stereoscopic animation technique of Jacobs' recent works Capitalism: Slavery (2006) and Nymph (2007), which he calls "a vigorous 3-D that can be seen without special spectacles and even by the one-eyed," Hot Dogs at the Met is a computer-generated composition of strobing, stereo snapshots from the 1970s. Unlike his other "cameraless" works, however, Hot Dogs is diaristic, subtly recalling 1960's Little Stabs at Happiness.Original title: Hot Dogs At The Met
