Haku is Zabuza Momochi's most faithful follower. Before he started working for Zabuza, Haku lived as an orphan.
His father killed his mother when it was discovered that Haku possesses a genetic ability, Hyōton ("Ice Release"), that allows him to mix wind and water elements to create ice, which was considered a threat and Haku then killed his father. After wandering from place to place for a time he was found by Zabuza.
